Make yourself at home in the living area. You might want to read a book or take a nap on the couch. We have lots of dvds and tapes that you're welcome to watch and we now have Dish Network and a phone.
Relax, do nothing. You're here to get away from it all, so enjoy! Watch the birds, you might even catch a glimpse of a bald eagle soaring above the Brazos.
Take a drive out to nearby Possum Kingdom Lake. Get in a round of golf at The Cliffs championship golf course.
Downtown Graham is only minutes away. You'll find charming antiques and cozy little shops surrounding the sqaure. Have lunch at the Magnolia Tea Room, Mi Familia, or Vetonis.
The best thing about The Hockaday Ranch Guesthouse is that you don't have to go any further to have a great trip. Pack your boots and jeans so you're ready to hike. Bring the binoculars for a wonderful birding experience. We have lots of room to just wander and dream or you may rent a truck to drive around the ranch. Trail rides are available at the nearby Wildcatter Ranch.
Be sure to bring along your fishing pole 'cause there's nothing more relaxing than an afternoon of fishing for bass, catfish, and perch and if you like, you can even cook your catch for supper. You'll feel the thrill of seeing white tail deer, coyotes, rabbits, vultures, and maybe even a wild boar or two.
Whether you choose to simply relax on the front porch, pitch some horseshoes, cook out on the grill, hike down to the Brazos River, or spend some time fishing, you're sure to leave happier for having experienced the magic of the great outdoors at The Hockaday Ranch.
